offtopic: If you are using Firefox, I suggest you install Quick TransLation (qtl) :: Firefox Add-ons. It does the translation (and not only) just when you select any word (see attach).

it's preferable that posts stay in English but I understand English, deutsch, francais, espanol, italiano, romanian and I can read and possibly yhAepctahA come pyccyah (wrong letters I know) :D

I believe that the russian speaking community is pretty well represented as well. CHDK is russian for the most part :) .

yes, they are English words :D , I know the cyrillic (Russian) letters but only a few words

Usually, my understanding level of any post on this forum is about 95%+. But on your posts, Barney, it drops down to 60-80%+... And sometimes I have to reread your sentences twice or more to understand all nuances. :)

Good that there is an offtopic-thread, I feel this will get the longest post ever! :)

Well I don't have to read Barney Fife's posts several times, but reading speed drops (sometimes:drops to very slow).
I can only tell that they're worth reading, I always get this (decent) grin while reading. :D

Wow, I've been tought English 6 years now, I already wanted to say that that's the only foreign language I partly understand,
but (I somehow like this small 3letter-word) there is also "high-german" which is really hard for a Bavarian, and
as I just wrote 32 vocabels french is also mentionable.
Next year we'll have to do Spanish, too.
But(again) 5 are really  :o, respect.

well, I've studied French in school, I know English mostly from TV, my father is a German citizen so I've learned some German, and Romanian is a latin language, sort of close to Italian and somewhat close to Spanish; and my grandpa tought me the cyrillic alphabet when I was little cause we had few televisions during the communism, some being Russian. I know theselanguages more cause of the circumstances rather than having studied them for cultural reasons :p .
