When I use the new optical zoom feature, it works flawlessly, unless I opt for digital zoom - when this kind of zoom is used, the optical one no longer works and the lens stays at its max (6x).
Using build 49.

Oh, sorry, I just found this bug was already reported.

Now this bug fixed for A710 in my private build  :D

I have question for Digic3 cameras users:
propertycase #91 : digital zoom enabled(0=off, >0 =on)
propertycase #95 : digital zoom value(0=minimal, 1,2...etc)

I found these values using IDA. Is this correct?

For Digic2 cameras this propertycases is #58 and #57, respectively.

Where can your private build be found, to see if I can port it to my camera? (your branche on assembla haven't been updated for a while)

On a570is 1.00e both propcases work, but #91 is slightly different from your description:

#91 is always 0 unless I set digital zoom 1.5x (#91=2) or digital zoom 1.9x (#91=3) from the Canon menu. It's not "digital zoom enabled", it's "digital telephoto feature enabled". In this mode there is always some digital zoom, no matter what position the optical zoom is in. In these modes #95 is equal to #91, because that's what those two steps are numbered in the "Standard" mode.

The other options in that menu are Digital Zoom = "Off" or "Standard".

In "Standard" mode digital zoom kicks in when the user zooms past the optical zoom maximum 4x. At 4x optical (and below), #95 is 0. After that, it rises from 1 to 6 for digital+optical zoom settings of 4.7x, 6.0x, 7.7x, 9.6x, 12x, 16x respectively.

Writing to either one doesn't seem to have an effect (the propcase changes but camera operation doesn't).

#95 and #91 as you reported.

Now this fix in trunk (#433). Tested, as usually, only on A710.

http://trac.assembla.com/a710 - I use this build everyday in my camera. This build is only for A710 and GrAnd based. For me, Allbest build has too many unnecessary things (like MD, ISO override, games etc)  ;).

Oh how did I miss that :D.. yep, propcase #94 is 1 if Digital Zoom is "standard", 0 otherwise.

Ooops, I misunderstood ewavr, yes I confirm it is the same on sd1000.
