I did have in the past on my Canon IXUS 300HS the following chdk version installed "ixus300_sd4000-100d-1.0.0-1791-full_BETA" with this version the "ALT Mode" did work perfect. Now with the new version "ixus300_sd4000-100d-1.1.0-2543-full_BETA" there i can not reach the "ALT Mode" with the Key sequence UP+LEFT with the JogDial.

Hi,
Ixus300 has a user defined <ALT> key. There are two options:
* A short press on the Playback button (Default).
* To press LEFT + UP on JogDial.
To configure ALT button alternative: CHDK Settings Menu -> <ALT> Mode Button.

Yes Thank you for the quick response.

But as soon as i press the Display Button ( i assume the Play Button is the Display Button) then the Canon IXUS 300HS make an power off
The press of the LEFT+UP on JogDial or the press UP+ LEFT on JogDial either dosen't react.

I got it !

Perhaps it was my mistake:
On the old Version there I was able to load chdk manually after the boot the Canon IXUS 300HS I was able to load the code. To work with the new chdk Version I did now the following steps:

On the SD Card moving the Tab to the"Lock Position".
Power on the Camera with the "On/Off" Button - now the chdk Code gets loaded automatically.
Now if i am pressing fast the"green Play Button" then a yellow "ALT" appears on the screen and I can continue.
