Mine is Unomat TT-1, if I'm not mistaken. I bought it in my local store.
And it seems that there are two mods with the same name: with plastic and with metal head.

my mini tripod is cheap and ugly. it's head is made of plastic and cant even support the weight of my s3is (without converters). so i have to manually balance it by putting something under one of the legs. sucks.
i just ordered one of those gorilla pods (the slr flavor) after searching the web for reviews. havent found a negative article about it yet :) maybe it is even strong enough to hold my cam on the "steering wheel" of my bike when i ride to work, would be great for timelapses.
some youtube videos about it:

Pedco - Our Products

I bought my first Ultra-Pod I in 2004 from Lensmate (Lensmateonline - Specialty Digital Photo Products). When I discovered that I had lost it, I found another one quite cheaply on Ebay. Luckily, I found my original one as well, so now I have two.

It is a small (pocket-sized) foldout tripod. It's best feature is the fact that it has a built-in velcro strap, so you can strap the tripod (with it's legs closed) to posts, poles, railings etc. The ball-head (and its supporting structure) allows for a lot of range of rotation etc in most dimensions.

I used this tripod a lot while travelling in Europe with my G3 and, later, Casio EX-Z750. For kicks, I tried it once with my 20D and 18-50mm 2.8 lens. Probably a little too heavy for this tiny tripod! :)

I keep one strapped to the side of my A620 pouch - barely notice it's there. This way, if i am ever out at night-time and see a nice building or scene, I can set it up for a long-exposure without having to necessarily find a flat surface at my desired level.

I have heard of the GorillaPod. I haven't used it. But I think it's probably the only other mini-tripod that is as flexible (pardon the pun) in usage as the Ultra-Pod range.

Thanks
Elia

The price of these Gorillapods in local shops at least twice higher vs official shop.
Gorillapod Original: $53 vs $25
Gorillapod SLR: $95 vs $45
:'( :'( :'(

It is cheaper to buy it from eBay, for example. But it can take a month for delivery (already had such experience).

I actually don't remember if it's official or not... But it works pretty well, you can hang your camera on many difficult places.

I didn't know the price tag was that high! geesh!
