Thanks Microfungy.
Its [generally] unwise to reply with alcohol taken, so apologies - I will probably need to revisit this - especially when I have zero photography experience:
What I do know is that any movement is bad for photogrammetry, hence [my thought] that flash 100microsec "synch" [from a dark room] is important.
If chdk can manage to get all the shutters open in a time period [from the ambient lights going out] that will not adversely affect the behavoiur of the subject - before the predetermined flash time - then tight chdk synch is [I think] unimportant.
James [at Gentles] has previously reported [for a hundred cams]:
"There is a high chance that it doesn't have the drive to trigger this many"That may be related to your comment:
"A distributed power supply required, can give further details."Appreciate that !
[but i'm not sure how this all hangs together ??]
- however, I want to use [if possible] an ambient light sensor to both switch the usb [and hubs] to 0V and that same sensor providing an input to the arduino controller [to control studio flash AND potentially the remote trigger shutters of multiple DSLR's].
I currently have no idea if that is possible - but would like to try and find out.
Other: I have recently reviewed the SDM Yahoo group but not made any request to join.
Anyway, you can probably appreciate that I will need help to see "the wood from the trees" - please be patient - I trust some of this is coherent
