I've spent a month trying to solve this problem. I bought a used Canon 1000d off ebay. I can't connect to to WINxp or Vista. I get the "DCP CONNECT" with a request for drivers. I've learned elsewhere that the camera is in Factory Service Mode. One the 1st Menu screen the bottom option is "Factory Menu" I've not been able to get
the camera out of Factory Mode. This camera represents 80% of my astrophotograhy budget for 2013.
Help please.
