Hi all, thank you for your work! I'm running CHDK for 1.01b on my 4000IS version 1.02a .
If feedback is needed, I'm here to help you all  ;)

Got me an A4000 to replace the old'n'trusty 2200. Unfortunately I've ended up with a 100c unit.

I've formatted the card, loaded the firmware from the link in the 1st post, CHDK loads OK, memory, battery, clock and temp are overlayed on the display, photos are saved to the read-only card, but there's no way to access the menu, and applying +5V to the USB port just switches camera between shoot and playback modes.

I am willing to beta-test if anyone likes to drill through the software some.

It was a version only to test the boot. I sent you a PM with the link to a full version.  Please test it and report, feedback is important to know if a4000 100c can be added to autobuild.

Can someone please help me? I thought this was going to be simple. I recently bought a Canon P&S A4000IS. Before purchasing I looked up on this website to see if CHDK was available. I saw it listed as versions 1.01A and 1.01B. After purchasing the camera and spending time getting familiar with it. I tried to download CHDK using STICK. The message sent back by STICK said that CHDK is not available for this camera.

Can someone tell me if CHDK is available for a Canon A4000IS and what I need to do to load it onto my camera? I'd be happy to be part of a "TEST" group.

Thanks,

Joe

I just downloaded CHDK to my A4000IS and it is working great. I have lots to learn. . . I did notice the calendar doesn't seem to work though.

This is AWESOME! 1/100K shutter speed.

Is there a "Script" or some other way to extend the timer/# photos?

The calendar is a trivial bit of code included in every CHDK distribution.  Its very unlikely it is the only thing that  does not work.  Tell us more - I'm guessing there are a lot more things that don't work for you.

Probably.  But you need to tell us a bit more about what you are looking for - be specific, more explanation is better than less.

Well, you know, the "self timer". The "stock" setting is for up to a 30 second delay and up to 10 pictures. Is there a "script" to extend the timer far beyond 30 seconds and especially extending the number of pictures taken beyond 10?

Probably not something that will do exactly that.   But if you can wait a few minutes I'll write / test / post one for you.  That's the beauty of CHDK.
