CHDK for Fujiflm Finepix HS20 EXR and above?

Hi!

The Fujifilm  Finepix HS20 EXR and above are  nice cameras. However I’m missing such update firmware like is CHDS for them? Is anyone one developed for this  the camera CHDK?   ::)

I am also new here, but I noticed that CHDK is only for Canon.

Indeed, CHDK is only for Canon P&S. This isn't because we are all rabid Canon fans though, it's just a practical reality: CHDK code is very specific to Canon P&S firmware.  We welcome people who want to work on other cameras. That's why we have this "Non-CANON cameras development" section on the forum.

CHDK is the result of many thousands of hours of skilled programmers effort over the last 6+ years. Starting a similar project on a different platform will require similar investment. Once something is working, it becomes easier for people improve it incrementally with smaller contributions, but the effort and skill required for the initial steps is very high.

So if you want to see something useful here... start hacking  :D

I am 2 weeks reading here since have the sx20 as a gift,and I am  full off CHDK  :D , but what means:"Don't forget what the H stands for."?

Theo - the "H" in "CHDK" stand for "Hack" - what Reyalp is saying is that CHDK is not a software product written from the ground up, but a set of routines cleverly and deviously inserted into the (only partially understood) operating system of Canon cameras.
