What the SX160is needs is a good
lens correction profile (SX160is.lcp) to go with RawTherapee.

Sorry for the necroposting, but maybe this is useful. One of the lens correction profiles in lensfun for SX150 "and compatibles" worked pretty well for the DNG posted in the previous page by reyalp.

I tried it with imagemagick:

convert 1.jpg -distort barrel "0.01447 -0.06509 0.01205" 1corr.tif
