How to access firmware on camera?

Hi
I have a Canon Powershot s5is. I have downloaded the correct files etc. My problem is when I power up the camera on playback mode, not shooting, I can find no firmware listed in the menu. I find no firmware listed in shooting mode either. Where is the firmware updater?
Can anyone help?

Did you put the files on the card from a Mac? If so, see http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ/Mac#Still_Having_Trouble.3F

How to shoot in raw?

Thanks so much for your help.
Using Stuffit worked.

However, I want to save raw files, how do I do that?
