Can I create bootable SD card without the small locking switch?

Hello everyone! I lost my 2GB SD card's locking switch (the little one on the left side of the card), so can I make my SD card bootable? Thank you very much!
P.S: I repaired my card with this instruction: Fix Broken SD Card Lock Can I make my SD card bootable?

Is there any solution to my problem other than removing the paper clip I glued into my SD card, waterwingz?

Well, you could modify the SD card slot in your camera by bending the SD card lock detection lever so that it permanently does not see the SD card lock switch. But you probably don't want to make such a permanent modification to your camera.

There is no software solution (CHDK or otherwise) to your problem. Your camera only loads CHDK because it sees the SD card lock in the locked position.

But 2G SD cards are really cheap - just buy a new one to use with CHDK.
