[Yes, I would like to try it. It is a SX210 IS. and I believe the version 1.00.00
I will try Av mode. I had read that for driving timelapse it is good to keep the shutter speed slow (1/60) for some blur. For that reason I was thinking Tv mode.
Scripts usually adjusts shutter speed to set exposure. In daylight, you'll probably need an ND filter to get shutter speeds that long. I'm not sure if that camera has one. The SX50 and SX260 have a filter that's not documented. We can work on that later.
Anyway, let's see if you can get my CHDK build and script running. I've attached a zip with the build for the SX210 firmware 100c, which I think is the one you have since it's the only one listed for that camera.
You unzip the file, then select all the files, folders and subfolders from my build, and drag them to the root directory of the SD card. You choose the options to overwrite the files and folders. Make sure all the files in the CHDK/MODULES folder overwrite the ones on the card. Then, I think you know how to transfer a script to the card.
My build only works with the write protect tab on, so it autoboots CHDK. (Not the firmware update method)
If you get the files installed and the camera auto boots, try running the attached script, Tlapser.lua.
