Hi All

I managed to make the Video mode and Games working (previous two issues). I created a new version of the of the trunk files and here are the new beta files located (ixus50 / sd400 firmware ver 101a camera):

ixus50_sd400-trunk.zip v0.03
Note: Check the first post for the latest version of the file

Now, I will try to modify the files for the firmware 101b. I had a pick in the firmware and it look identical with a difference of its upper half being moved for few bytes up.

Everyone is welcome to test the port and improve it.

Hi All

I created a second set of files for the firmware version 101b based on the changes of the files for version 101a and included them together with the previous files. I updated the beta files again and here is the new archive containing the latest files (ixus50 / sd400 firmware ver 101a and ver 101b  camera):

ixus50_sd400_trunk_v004.zip

Note: There are two fir files: PSa.FIR for cameras with ver 101a and PSb.FIR for cameras with ver 101b.

I need help from someone to test the new file for the firmware version 101b on a camera with this firmware and post the results here.

Everyone is welcome to test and improve the port.

The 101b worked great in my camera.

I knew it won't work, when i tried the 003 101a version.
But the 004 101b version did some great things with my camera.

Beautiful !

I've tested (short) the 004 101b version - works great  :D :D

I use it with the german language file, codepage Win1252 and the "libsans16b" font (optimal on the small display).

Scripting on the old Ixus 50 is very exciting - the MD (motion detection) works perfect, unbeliveable !

A little think doesn't work: autostart / bootable disc

I try to make a bootable disk (Power on in play mode with locked card, load chdk, debug - make bootable),
but with this (locked) card the camera don't start, all black, no sign of life :-[
After removing battery & unlock the card all works fine again, but the camera hangs if i start with the locked card.
Formatting the card and all works normal again...

Perhaps this will help to get running the autostart feature on the sd400 with fw 101b

-> Can somebody with the 101a fw try if autostart is working ?

I've tested with Canon 16MB/Canon 32MB/Ultron 128MB/Corsair 1GB cards , all newly formatted with FAT16 - no sucess.
On my new Ixus 860IS the autostart works fine, with a 4GB card @FAT16 - but it's a DryOS cam...
I also tried the prepare utility which i used therefore (bootable.exe), no success.
