A2200 - problems getting into CHDK firmware when autostart has been used

A2200: I'm using a countdown intervalometer on autostart - I can't get into the firmware to select another script once it has started.  Any ideas?

If you press the shutter button while a script is running,  its will terminate that script.  With scripts that turn the backlight off,  you might have to press the <Alt> key and then take a shot or maybe press the display button a few times to get the display to re-appear.

I cant get the CHDK on my A2200, there is no firmware update option.
