People, I have a question. And many people ask the same. Why does my camera turns on from the second try when with CHDK? I mean that when I turn it on in Rec mode, it turns on in Play mode and I should turn it on in Rec mode again to make it start shooting. Is it a bug or a feature?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, just as I thought: "use hold-until-done method" :)

Same thing was on G7 some time ago, but this problem was resolved.

@DataGhost:
In loader/s5is/resetcode/main.c try do not write 0x12345678 at 0x40000FFC - maybe this can help.

Result: camera does not turn on at all :p (unless the button is held long enough) Anyway, I'll look into those things, they do seem to influence it a bit.

Excuse me  :D, a very stupid question...now that 1.01a has been ported, any modification of the 1.01b code (new features, bug fixes etc.etc.) requires the same porting (so we need a developer doing that) or it concerns only the "common" code (and so we need only one person that compiles it for everybody)?  :xmas
Thanks to all devs!

Only if it involves changes in the hooked assembly code or new firmware functions / addresses need to be hooked. I don't think several developers are needed for such a change, because the firmwares don't differ that much. It's just that someone needs to test the changes but I doubt there will be any major problems.

Great job DataGhost !! Thank you so much, I was missing the S5 CHDK, especially when looking at my friend who was using it on S3 :D
Everything works fine on S5IS bought in Canada, but I'm missing video options... I mean the video compression.. Will it be ported?
Once again, thank you very, very much.
