Hi DataGhost. Today I did a checkout from svn, I compiled the firmware for S5IS 1.01a and I tried it. I didn't tested all functions, but what I tested, works. Thank you very much. You made me happy

sorry, edited post.

seems it now works, starting folder in \src\trunk and run: gmake PLATFORM=s5is PLATFORMSUB=101b

final result says *** firmware creation completed successfully

I asume this is in the src\trunk\bin folder?

well I'll try it, so any changes or additional functions are loaded into the svn, then I just need to 'update' and compile?

i have a S5 IS FW Ver. GM 1.01A...Win XP.. i just wanted to ask u which CHDK should i use for my camera and is it safe.. i presume it ids since its some kind of resident program that doesnt touch the originally firmware... so if u could kindly direct me to the right CHDK for my Camera and firmware i would be very grateful to u.

question: what do you think, posting the same question 3 times all over the forum (without even trying to find the information oneself), is this a good idea? take this as a warning.

i had posted earlier about which CHDK to use with FW 1.01A .... the moderator was kind enough to give me the link for the S5 IS CHDK Wiki ...

now my problem starts here .... since there is no PS.FIR in the S5 IS CHDK a step is mention that needs to be followed to make the SD Card bootable... mentioned therein is step 2 wherein one has to download bootable.zip and extract bootable.exe.
Now my problem is that i cant download bootable.zip ... it seems the link is corrupted... i was wondering if there is anywhere else i could find bootable.zip.

i hope someone will be able to help me ..... i did search the forum for an answer but couldnt get one so im posting here..

try this Card Tricks - a small utility to help manage SD cards to make your card bootable. no need to have your posts all in bold
