1. I'm frankly confused by your answer. I was not asking about the script's camera restart function. I want to know what steps and tools you used to install CHDK onto your SD card.
Reply: The way I do it is by updating the firmware from my original one to CHDK every time my camera reboots.
Okay, so you use the
"Firmware Update" to load CHDK. I understand that now.
But what I want to know is what steps and tools you used to i
nstall CHDK onto your SD card. Did you use a tool like
CHIMP, or
STICK, or
Cardtricks, or
SSMinste? Or did you just expand the CHDK distribution ZIP file to a freshly formatted SD card?
You complained about not being able to use all of your SD card. If you used any of those tools, they may have created two partitions on the card and you are only able to use one of them.
Reply: I have managed to obtain the log file and here it is updated. There are times when the camera shut down. I am thinking that the first time, on November 2nd it may have been a power cut. What is your opinion?
Given that the log just stops there, having the power cut would be a reasonable explanation. It's almost certainly not anything the script did on its own.
The second time I had a problem with storage since I was not realizing that my camera was automatically saving raw files.
Congratulations! You are now another member of the
