Again many thanks and congrats for this achievement !
You're most welcome. I must say that Dave has been a huge help.
when no picture is on the card, I've tried to use the CHIMP directory to store one, and the program was not able to find it, until *.* was set in the file box. (maybe a windows trick ?)
The picture doesn't need to be copied to the CHIMP directory. Unless it's been renamed, it should be visible in the Select Picture dialog (in its respective location).
the program then does not ask for a picture to identify fw version. the same if you want to install SDM iso CHDK or reverse.
These scenario aren't supported. If you'd like to replace/override an existing install, manually delete DISKBOOT.BIN/AUTOEXEC.BIN from the card.
for installing SDM, I could not choose other language than english. this was doable with assist.
That's one of the few features left unimplemented in CHIMP.
if no 'hack" is on the card the program mentions "no camera software detected". does this mean no "hack" already installed ?
Yes.
camera fw version is mentionned version 1.00 rev 4.00 I guess this is equivalent to former 100d mention.
Yes, the ExifTool format is used for FW revision display.
Would it be possible to add a "restart program" button ?
Possible, yes, but I'm really trying to keep the controls to the minimum.
If you want assistance for a french translation (?) I would be happy to do this...if I understand how...
Mais biensur! 😀
First, clone the repo on GitHub (you'll need a GitHub account), then clone to desktop.
Next, open the solution in Visual Studio and copy Properties\Resources.resx to Resources.fr.resx.
There is one more file to localize, but it's a bit tricky.
I'll be happy to answer any questions, should they arise.
