I've been watching the progress on the
g9 for a while now and felt like I couldn't contribute because I didn't know anything about the programming side of chdk. However I do have a 1.00g cam that I can run the autobuild on to give some bug reports.
So far I can confirm some of the bugs posted above about the 1.00d, but it's not completely consistent.
1) Optical zoom works in video mode as posted above, but I found that if digital zoom is enabled in video mode, once you reach the end of optical and begin zooming digitally, you are then stuck in digital zoom and it won't let you zoom back out into optical again.
2) I cannot replicate the freezing that the others have reported in video mode, I was able to capture a 6 minute video without any problems.
3) Enabling the 'Show Remaining Videotime" options is very buggy though, often counting randomly, or all zeros, or just calc.... It also remains on the screen when switching into a different mode until you shut the camera off.
4) The AF Key doesn't work.
5) I took 2 pictures with raw enabled, and it successfully saved 2 .crw files. But when I imported them onto the computer for processing, one came out good, and one was a complete screen of noise, so there is a bug with raw files. I'll have to try more shots to see how often it happens.
6) The file browser works fine for me on the 1.00g, I can see all files on the card.
As I'm pretty new to CHDK it's kind of difficult to troubleshoot because I might not understand how the features should work, or if it's a known bug that shouldn't work on this cam anyways, or if I'm just not setting things correctly. I'll try to do a more thorough overview of features tonight to see if I can find any other problems.
Is there anything anyone wants me to test specifically on a 1.00g?
