I've merged dancingbits into the trunk and integrated it into the build process for the sd1100 port. If you want to update your sources to to reflect that, it would make merging easier. I've also updated the dryos sigs. If you can build using the current sigs or minor changes to them (rather than creating yet another sig_ref etc) that would be good.

It would also be easier for me if you used SVN to generate the patches. If you use SVN add to add the new files and directories, they will show up in an SVN diff. Be sure not to add stuff like .o files or temp files (there's a few things like that in your first patch)

No, only unzipped from the outer zip.
BTW - in the past AVG (ok, for fairness: also some others, too) every now and then declared original Windows dlls to viral objects, e.g. the user32.dll 🤣 (Link), also there are often false alarms, like this one...

can i just overwrite the earlier 101b file with the latest release using card tricks or should one reformat the card.
if i saved the "cchdk.cfd" file from the earlier version can it also be used for the latest release for my saved settings?

When i get a cardreader, i would give it a try.

But is it possible to add a feature, with it u dont need to install the cra*** drivers from the cd to put your pics on the computer with W2k?
Is it also somehow possible to write a little program then, which installs the firmware, without usind a cardreader?

no, sorry, card reader is necessary - this will allow you to both make your card bootable (which is necessary
for all DryOS cams) and transfer files at will without any Canon drivers.

that depends largely on the version of your previous build ... assuming that that was a beta version
(= before it was added to trunk) i would personally:

- move all existing files on card to a backup folder on your computer
- write the new version to card

you can then experiment if your previous .cfg is usable (probably not, lots of changes recently)

re-formatting should not be necessary (but doesn't hurt either)

Hi, is available override aperture in this version?

hello! thank you for the update! i tested the aperture override, and it seems although i set it to F/16, the camera displays F/8 when i am in manual mode, and when i hold half shutter, it says F/11, so i'm guessing F/11 is the highest it will go?

also say i'm in Av or Tv mode, will it compensate the aperture/shutter speed for the override i use?

ex: in Av mode i set the aperture to F/11, will it compensate the shutter speed for the chdk over-ridden setting of F/11?

or ex: in Tv mode, i set the shutter speed to 1/1000, will it compensate the aperture for it? (this ofcourse being on like a bright sunny day or some high-light situation).

also can someone please explain what the 'Disable Overrides' setting does? and also what the 'Enable Fast Ev switch?' settings are?

i like the new menu setup with the pictures. good job! =D

are you going to get your own forum build section like allbest and all the other builds have? (this seems to look exactly like allbests' build, are you guys working together on this or something?)

also, i set it to enable the startup sound when it loads the firmware, but i still don't hear the sound, maybe this is a bug?

ok thanks for that. i preformed the operations you mentioned including formatting the card again, put my old configuration from version 0.6.2 onto the latest (0.8.1) all settings appear as before having gone through about 75% of the available settings. i, as many others have mentioned, want to thank "ma_jk" and others for there artistry in code for this model of camera.
