How do I take to try the latest beta version of the file?

I downloaded the file "sx20_100f" and "sx20_GM1.00F_v02.dump. But it does not contain boot file (diskboot and PS.dir).

These files are available on the wiki. But it's only the firmware dump and NOT the chdk build we all are looking for.

I did a test with the CHDK the SX10 and the camera would not start more ...

I'll wait for the final CHDK or a more advanced version.

Thankyou for your posting of the binary. I tested it, but only splash image showed up and then nothing happen. This is my steps, CMIIW pls:

1. Verify my SX20IS firmware: it is GM1.00F

2. Download your binary

3. Extract CHDK folder from downloaded SX10IS' CHDK version

4. Format using Cardtricks (FAT16, bootable)

5. Copy your DISKBOOT.BIN & CHDK folder to my SD using Cardtricks (at this point my SD's root only contains CHDK folder and DISKBOOT.BIN)

6. Lock the SD card

7. Turn on my SX20IS in playback mode

8. CHDK splash image shown, "SX20IS" and "GM1.00F" read on it.

Am I miss something? Please inform. Thanks for your great job so far!

...so CHDK is loaded, just press (or half-press) the shutter button once to switch to record mode.
To enter the CHDK main menu press the Print/Shortcut button...

I failed to know the number of firmware with the methodology explained in the wiki.
I followed exactly the steps and tried with ver.req and vers.req.

None of 2 does. Y was there another method for this device?

Pressing the button combination, the firmware version info will appear on your LCD, if you have prepared your memory card correctly. If you format your card with cardtricks, and make it bootable, it will do it for you. (Takes the necessery empty ver.req file to the memory card's root dir)
