That is probably for one second.
Change dial to 1/2 sec, 268 should be 96.

and this is 1/2 sec shutter in Tv mode

If the camera does not crash, is the second image darker than the first ?

No crash. The second photo is a little darker.

ran it again and the 2nd one is LIGHTER

My first comment was wrong. the 2nd photo is lighter with each test.

In the cr1sdm.bas script, change set_tv_rel 0+1 to rem set_tv_rel 0+1 (in :tvup)
and set_tv_rel 0-1 to rem set_tv_rel 0-1 (in :tvdn)

Do 8+1 and 8+2 result in the Tv messages ?

I changed the code. Got it loaded up then ran the script. Pressing 8+1 or 8+2 shows nothing on the screen. Is this what you want me to do?

Hi guys,

First thank you to all developers who have ported CHDK to the S95 !

Unfortunately, I run into problems using CHDK on my S95 using S95-100e-0.9.9-1133-full_BETA.zip using a 32G Kingston Class 6 SDHC Card in CHDK Autoboot mode. To achieve autoboot, the card has been configured using CHDKs runtime option "create card with two partitions" and made bootable with CardTricks.

The symptom is a static distorted view with a purple hue:

This occurs roughly 1 out of 30 boots, and can be reproduced by setting the camera in P mode (though other modes also will fail), then repeating a power on/off cycle. When it occurs, it occurs around 1 to 3 seconds after boot, and always before the CHDK UI is shown. When the camera shows this picture, the camera has frozen completely and the only option is to manually eject the battery. Sometimes it doesn't even show this purple picture, but simply shuts down instead.

As this only occurs infrequent and pictures I take do get saved OK, I don't think the SD card is somehow faulty. Perhaps the partition swap code somehow triggers this bug ?

Note that I can not reproduce this problem with a Sandisk 4GB Extreme HD Video Class 6 SDHC card also using the autoboot approach (however using 1 partition only).

Some additional info : with both cards the only options I have changed from the defaults are :
JPEG Image - Superfine
Video - Quality Control On
Video - Quality 100

Hello all,

It's been a long time since I've used CHDK. I just put this on my S95 and I have a question...

Can CHDK do anything about the max video record time? The camera stops after 30 minutes when recording in 720p or after about an hour in 640/320. I think this is because of the max 4GB file size, but if you ask me, it should just create a new file and keep going.

I'd like to be able to record for 90+ minutes continuous.

Any ideas?

To the best of my knowledge, these limits have not been overcome. As you mentioned, it has more to do with filesize limitations than anything else.

It seems like someone was trying to write a script that re-started recording immediately after it stopped, but I'm not sure of the details.

I would like to try CHDK on my S95 for longer than 15 sec shutter speeds, optical zoom in video and maybe intervalometer for time-lapse photos.

On the site it says it's not ported yet, but I see you guys are using it...can someone help me with the install ?

Hey guys,
I'm absolutely loving all of the work that is being done here but I think that I have a serious problem.
I have been using CHDK for quite some time on a second SD card that I have lying around and used my S95 last night to capture the lightning using a script that I found in the forums. I used the camera until the battery was dead and charged it over night. After the battery was fully charged I popped it into my camera and now it will not charge. I have switched batteries and cards and I am on my last limb. Any suggestions before I go pray to the Best Buy gods for a replacement?
