Is "Aperture override" missing in Juciphox?

Hi,

I've downloaded the experimental release of CHDK for my Canon Powershot SD950 IS but I've noticed that the "Aperture override" option is not showing under the "Extra Photo Operations" menu. Is it a characteristic of Juciphox builds or is it missing in this particular release only?
Kind regards,

Miguel.

No. The SD950 is missing an aperture, thats why you cant override its settings.

The whole ixus series doesn't have apertures. (the size is not changeble, its just a hole which can be opened and closed .. )

regards

Hi Miguel,

as Hacki posted...thes Ixus models (and also some cheap models of the A-series) have a ND filter instead.
So they don't have the Av menu entries, they have a "ND filter" menu item to set the ND filter

ON     (=enabled, swing in - this emulates the highest F-stop, e.g. F/8.0 on the SD870) or
OFF    (=disabled, swing out - lowest F-stop, e.g. F/2.8 on SD870),
AUTO means: not controlled by CHDK, the Canon firmware controls it...

Thanks a lot!

A final question: is there a way to control the depth of field?

Kind regards,

Miguel.

No adjustable aperture, no DOF control.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
