try this attach, this build for S3IS 100A firmware. test it and show me result photo as jpeg with your timestamp on the left, right alignments. I implemented S3IS but I think may be some align (or position) bug is ocurred.

Did some tests and found everything working as expected. Except when displaying timestamp at the left corner it is a little cropped.

Good work, it is a nice feature. Although there is a lag when choosing very large fonts, maybe you coud somehow optimize your function.

ok. I see some bug with left align position ocurred. now I did try to fix it and give you new version of firmware. this bug appears on S3 IS, but doesn't on S5, A650 or A460 models.

I warn that big size requires more time to print on raw. I recommend you try to use very small (or small) font size with tips see above on top (recommended settings).

if position of stamp will be good, show this picture too. :)

thanks for your cooperation.  ;)

to build for other devices I need your RAW file to analize its bayer sequence (need for raw print in RAW).

I think, you could find many RAW files in this topic - New project: camera color profile calculation

thanks for href.
I code some program as RawGen that generates bin file with random data by size of RAW originals 5,6,7,8,12MP and test them to print as RGGB\GBRG. :)

Hello everyone, I'm new on this forum and I've just bought a S5IS. Great camera, but I really need the timestamp feature at work.

Great job with the mod pethead, but could you publish a english manual so I and other non-russian speaking people could know how to install and use the modded CHDK.

Thanks.

installation is the same as standard CHDK (find it here at forum) but stamp feature using is described in top post of topic.

just see here
S5IS - CHDK Wiki

links to download you find here http://canons5is.clan.su/load/2
just see S5 IS for your appropriate version of firmware (101a or 101b)

Pethead, does this mean you can "print" any pattern onto the raw image data?

theoretically yes. I have function set_pixel onto RAW data by seven colors (see their names above).
your pattern must be colored with seven colors.

Hi pethead, have you published source for this function? I think it is a really nice feature for CHDK so I would like to test it in code.  :P
