Testing Synchronisation of Multiple Cameras

We have synchronised pairs of A620 and A640 cameras for stereo shooting in flash and none-flash mode.
In flash-mode, a single flash exposes both camera images even when used at high shutter speeds.

Any number of cameras may be synchronised with tiny time-differences between them so it has uses other than stereo.

You can even introduce a time-delay of seconds before the synchronised exposures are made.

We still need to test the A610, A630, A710, s2is and s3is.

If you are able to obtain a pair of any of the above cameras and have time to do a quick, simple test, please email me at mybayauctions at btinternet.com.

Thanks.

I should make it clear that I when I say 'a pair of the above cameras', I mean two cameras of the same model.

Sorry for changing my mind, but two identical cameras are only required for stereo shooting.
For testing synch, two different cameras are fine.

One should be the A630, A710 or s2is.

The other can be A610,620,630,640,710,s2is or s3is.

We are almost there (unless Fingalo enables USB for three more cameras  :-)      )

We now just need someone with a single s2is, A630 or A710 to check basic code.

Please contact me at mybayauctions at btinternet dot com.

(except Fingalo has added USB to A570 so we will eventually need to test that).

I have a pair of 720is's if I can be of any help, BUT  you would need to "hold my hand" as I am just a button pusher and what happens after that is all magic to me!
My cameras are straight out of the box with no modifications apart from 2gb sd's

Hi Pete.

Thanks, but the A720 has now been tested.

The average synch is 1/4000 sec, taht is good.

Test results are posted in Files section of this Group StereoData Maker

If you have problems getting your twinned cameras working, ask on the Group.
