What's up with the crazy auto logoff ? - how to disable it ?
I lost posts due to reply, type, test (time goes), then submit.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. I often get "session has timed out" (or something like that, I didn't get it this time) when previewing or posting, but my post is still there and it works the next time.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I'm lazy enough to always use the login fields at the top right, and the default 1 hour timeout bites me quite often. My post usually gets lost (unless I copy it to clipboard before hitting post/preview).

On the login page you get when it times out there should be a checkbox to stay logged in permanently.

Check this when you re-login and it should no longer log you out - this is not available from the login fields at the top right.

ah ! - "login page"  :)  - thank you  - that solved it for this browser.
Maybe the option could be visible at the quick login as well ?
