I use same settings as on my S110 and G1x. But it looks like, that ISO works also until 3200.
You can find the settings in the log file.

Only difference: I set ev_shift to -1EV because the neutral value did not looks correct as I descript here

Here is one of my last videos, which I made with the CHDK script rawopint.lua.
The time from the recording to the finished video needs with me at the time more than 6 months ...


The range up to 1:25 was created with the G1x and a focal length of 28mm (35mm equivalent). The last 10s come from the SX50 and a focal length of 770mm (35mm equivalent). The interval of the recording is about 2.5 seconds. In the case of telephoto recordings the SX50 can not be beat.

My last video shows some time-lapse recordings from / at the lighthouse Arngast.

The recordings were made in summer 2015/2016. Recordings at the lighthouse Arngast prove to be extremely difficult. Due to wind and weather and the strong current (about 4m tidal range) it is almost impossible to find a safe stand for the cameras. Therefore, the quality of some pictures is not as I wanted. Many scenes had to be smoothed. Especially with the recordings on the stone dam (1:47), it is easy to see with what force the water in the bay  'Jadebusen' urges. I wanted to let the camera run even longer but the risk of a total loss I wanted then but not to enter.
In the end are some still images and ‘making of ' pictures to see.

I hope that this environment will be maintained for future generations as well, not the first to be affected by climate change.

On my last videos, I made a mistake: the original video has 25fps. For the upload I used Premiere Elements. The upload function has unfortunately converted the video to 29.97fps and this is not really intelligent. Approximately every fifth frame was doubled.
The videos do not look as smooth on YouTube as the original video. This can be seen especially in zooming and fast movements.

This video shows a sunrise in Dangast in time lapse. You have to get up early to experience a sunrise in June (4:58). Unfortunately, it is always a bit foggy. The sunrise was made with the Canon G1x and S110 recorded at the same time. The third scene is a Crop from the G1x. The interval is 4s and 3s.

I have not yet dared to use my EOS M3 in this harsh environment.  ;)

Made a sunrise time lapse of the Toronto skyline with my s110.  2 sec interval and using an external batter.

Although I have posted this on another thread, it also fits here. Shot with an A470 on continuous, with rawopint to smooth the exposures. The camera was mounted on a small Neewer cellphone gimbal and the resulting sequence was further stabilised with Deshaker in Virtualdub. Equivalent speed would be around 160 km/h.

Hi folks,
Here's my first decent time lapse created this morning using rawopint.lua



I'm amazed how well it turned out, and humbled at the genius behind it's development, especially considering I didn't understand the settings I was fiddling with very well.

Can anyone explain how the "drawing debug info" works?  I wasn't game to risk overlaying my images this morning at 4:30am, so I left it off but I suspect it might be good for learning how to use the attributes.

I was aiming for a dark start, then letting the Sun overexpose as it would.

Props also to the fabulous LRTimelapse program https://lrtimelapse.com/, of which I used the free but limited trial version (limited to a 400 frame sequence and a few other non-pro features - compare versions https://lrtimelapse.com/features/).

Thanks again for sharing this awesome development kit.
