A590IS Video Mode Hack

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add a frame rate option of 30fps. to the 640x480 video mode in the A590IS. Right now it's limited to 20fps. which makes for some really ugly choppy video. Does anybody know if there are plans to do this? It sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

there is 30 fps!
3 regimes 20,30fps 640*480 & 30fps 320*240 + compact regime.
It will be good, 1200*900 even with 15fps, but I not sure in this reality... wish 1200*900

According to canons specifications (and many user reports) the A590 only does 20 FPS at 640x480 http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=183&modelid=16336#ModelTechSpecsAct

This is unlike almost every other powershot, so my guess is that canon cheaped out somewhere and the hardware isn't actually capable of 640x480 30FPS. I could be wrong though, AFAIK no one has done any detailed reverse engineering of this. It is a common request.
