A SDM user has recently made a high-altitude balloon launch.

They  reached a little over 108,000 feet and took pictures and video the whole way
up and down.

Excellent!!

Is there a page with the story and explanation of the gear used?  I'd love to see more about it.  Being as how he is in the US midwest, an area known for tornadoes, it would be awesome to see a launch up through a tornado as it approaches.  Of course, very difficult to achieve.
