Ok, the journey continues. I copied and pasted the script code into text edit, named it ultra.bas, put it in the CHDK folder, formatted the card, and could not find anything on the camera in the CHDK about an intervalometer.
Did you go into the script menu and select the file ? Note that the scripts menu file browser starts in the scripts folder, not in the CHDK folder. You can still navigate around to open your script in a different folder when you select it.
I tried 4 different intervalometer scripts and still nada.
If you can't locate the script file on the camera, there's really this isn't going to solve your problem.
So then I tried to reformat the card again using 2 partitions instead of 1, thinking that might help. That didn't help either as the 20 megabyte partition is the only one that gets read, thus rendering the card pretty much useless.
A single partition is always simpler. The only reason to use multiple partitions is to access the full capacity of a card larger than 4gb.
No matter how many times I reformat with 1 partition there is still the second one there. And so while it still boots the CHDK I can only take 4 pictures with my 4GB card, ha.
You haven't successfully converted it back to one partition. I'd suggest formatting it in camera. This will destroy all partitioning information and format it fat32. You'll still have to use some other tool to format it FAT16 if you want to autoload CHDK.
