OK, that movie appeared just as I amended my last post.
You still need to run test.bas.

It seems to me you actually managed to switch to movie mode.

good night! that is NOT me or my camera. Searching around I just wanted to see if this can be done since I don't know what i'm doing. You are good with this stuff.

FYI...
with TEST.bas loaded up it shows pressing each button three or four separate times in a row...

Button#5 shows on screen "18" first press of button
Button#5 shows on screen "17" second press of button
Button#5 shows on screen "19" third press of button

Button#6 shows on screen "23" first press of button

Note: Above press of button the camera blacks screen for second then comes back on with very soft trigger noise showing it's next number.i

Button #8 does nothing. buttons 1,2,3&4 do move my two servos I have plugged into the CAMremote-2.

David, I am here and online. I got the day off after a month. Anyways... Playing around last night I saw that (I'm guessing here) the DISKBOOT.BIN I have here boot up an Orange splash menu and another one loads up a blue 1.85 splash menu when creating a 2GB SD Card. This last time in my Windows XP setting up a SD Card I was able to see the NEW INSTALL button in the sdninste.exe. I should start from scratch with the correct stuff etc.

Two other things I don't understand is.

#1
I read this in the quickSTART Getting Started PDF which is talking about my camera
NOTE:The G11, IXUS95,IXUS100, IXUS105,IXUS980, S90, S95, SX120IS and SX200IS do not use the standard CFG file, they use a file with a numeric value after 'CFG'.
These must be copied to the card manually and should not be renamed. Use the files supplied in the CONFIGS folder.

#2 I don't know what Left Camera and Right Camera options in the NewInstall Button in the sdminste.exe software.

Do not worry about the items you have just mentioned in your last post.

Well, the splash version and the header at the top of the screen are either red or blue in Record mode (denotes left or right camera when used for stereo photography).

The fact that you say 'orange' is because the camera on booting is initially in Playback mode.

In Stereo menu, enable the 'Extend Lens' option.

Turn-off the camera and then turn on again.

Does it automatically switch to Record mode ?

Yes, but the question really is does it switch to Record mode ?
Until a few days ago I had access to the S95 and I know switching to Record works.

In folder CHDK, is there a CFG file (cannot remember the number) ?

on the card in the CHDK folder with all other folders is a CCHDK.CFG and a CHDK.CFG file

Let us be quite clear, are you using the SDM DISKBOOT.BIN or the CHDK DISKBOOT.BIN ?

I think that could well be a palette problem of S95, originally it has almost exclusively orange ...

Where did you download DISKBOOT.BIN from ?

Since I have done so many things i'm not sure. I would say I just copied it off of one of my cards that had the BIN file. I didn't download it from the web. I'm sorry that just finding this SDM/CHDK in the past week and NEVER seeing it I just don't know. Thanks for the Colors Wim...

I don't see a Stereo Menu clicking through <ALT> menus. The selection bar looks RED

I think we had better start again.
Normally, you can use CHDK or SDM, whichever you prefer.
However, your script can only run with SDM so we will use that.

I hope you you will be able to help me far more with how to fly an electric helicopter when we have finished all this 😀

Download this http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/sdm/file/1.85-148-s95-100h-57.zip and unpack it.

Using sdminst.exe format your card FAT16, everything will be erased.
Make the card bootable.
Copy DISKBOOT.BIN to the card, lock it and power-up the camera.

In ALT mode, press Menu.

You should see a number of items including Advanced and Stereo.

Okay, I'm there. Have the new BIN file in camera and it loads up to a quick 1.85 in blue characters. Screen shows.. "Inbuilt script" <ALT> on bottom of screen and top blue mini menu bar says "STEREO Zoom: 27 Synch:0.0000"
While in menu the bottom show <CNF>

It shows "Inbuilt script" because at the moment the default script (a very useful time-lapse) cannot be found in the Scripts folder.

If you have previously downloaded Common_files.zip in order to obtain sdminst.exe, replace the entire CHDK folder and subfolders with the CHDK folder and subfolders in Common_files.zip and boot your camera.

The resident script should now be time_lapse.bas.

Just for fun, run the script, it will take three photos.
