More commands in lua like draw_line, draw_circle, like in GRID-files would be nice
-->It would be possible to program little applications that could be executed without having to compile the whole CHDK.
-->Also there would be needed message boxes and printing text on the screen (not by drawing each line ;-))

Suggestion for Format SD:

Instead of formating, delete DCIM folder & defrag only free space in SD card.

CHDK already has a shortcut to set focus to HYP.

Someone didn't RTFM. :)  Quick-Set Hyperfocal & Infinite Manual Focus Distances

[/quote]

OK, Folks.  It seems I didn't express myself well enough.  The manual says:

When in MF mode and in <ALT> mode, you may press the [UP] navigation button to instantly set MF (manual focus) distance to infinity. Press the [DOWN] navigation button to instantly set MF distance to hyperfocal distance (based on f/stop and zoom focal-length).

It does not say, "and the hyperfocal length will change as you continue to press on the zoom lever to keep the fast-moving beast in the finder."  I was thinking (blurrily, I grant you) of a magical HYP that changes as the camera adjusts.

Sorry for the bother.

how is zooming possible in MF-mode?

Do these cameras have separate USB interface chips or is it all integrated in the processor sans maybe some ferrites and ESD diodes?

DIGIC2 has built-in USB interface, DIGIC3 maybe too  ;)

I think that this register bit turn on/off built-in 1.5k pullup resistor required to USB device detection from USB host.

Your comments make more sense as I get to know more about USB electrical specs.
Same as the case of pull-up for +D to indicate a high speed device, the -D can also be up to indicate a low speed device.
If there are separated bits to set for each of the resistors we may be able to have a 2 bit output?

May be worth looking into.

On my A620, I added a uBasic command to AND the contents of 0xC0721000 with ~0x4 or  OR the contents with 0x4.

With +4.5V applied, there was no voltage change on either of the two data wires and the camera 'hung'.
Although not causing the problem, maybe I should connect each data line to ground with a 25K resistor.

" Timestamp " as added by pethead to trunk ver.0.6.5. / #541. Maybe as a compile option in CHDK_Shell, would gladly forgo some of the games if memory is tight. Also his text file to add names of holidays, birthdays, etc. was a nice feature. I have a TX1 and miss that feature. So do the people I give prints to.
With this and all the features already in CHDK this would be my perfect camera.
But a BIG THANK YOU for what you all have given.

When I get back my A710, I will test this on it. On SX100 I can't get good results (sometimes it works, sometimes no), but camera not crashes (even if USB power voltage is not present).

Maybe no.

I would like to see a function like "Brighten (use brightest pixel)" like image stacker have.
( http://www.tawbaware.com/imgstack.htm ), in adition to average, sum and substract that is already there.
