Shooting RAW with a430 does not work. The file is created in DCIM/100CANON and the camera creates also corresponding jpg to 101CANON, so something is wrong somewhere.

Here's an example raw file:

Here it is developed, I guess some of the values are incorrect as the bottom of the picture is incorrect.

is it not logical to keep all info in one place?

Sorry about the many threads. As far as I am concerned, the thread "A430 porting started - histogram working" is the only relevant one, rest of them can be locked or deleted.
