Elph 130 Eco Mode?

I brought this up in another forum post about putting the Elph 130 to sleep.

There is no "sleep" option in the Canon Menu for the Elph 130, but I was just reading that the Elph 130 has an "Eco Mode" that puts the camera to sleep if it detects no movement in 10 seconds.

Can that "sleep mode" be tapped into somehow using chdk?

CHDK does not currently have the capability to trigger this state.

If you turned eco mode on in the canon settings, the camera would presumably go to sleep normally and you could wake it up with a key press.

eco also seems to dim the display after about 2 seconds.

Note that CHDK "disable LCD off" prevents eco from operating.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

An alternative is to use UI properties (PTM functions)
