converting RAW files to open in BRIDGE (mac help needed)

Still new to this, but with a bit of help from this list I'M shooting some test RAW files. I now want to open them in Bridge - is there a way to convert them (rather than process them directly) to .dng using a Mac application?

Come to think of it, does .crw stand for Canon Raw and do they therefore include a Raw processor with the G9?

Hi Mike.

The raw files produced by CHDK have the .CRW extension but are not really CRW Canon raw files. You won't be able to open them neither in PCs nor in Macs but with a few software (like UFRaw). To use them in Bridge they have to be converted to DNG first (which is good IMO because the file size is significantly reduced).

Unfortunately I can't tell you how to do it in a Mac. Let's wait and see if a Mac user gives you some advice.

I someone will be able to compile DNG4PS-2 for Mac, it will be possible to convert RAW files into DNG ones directly on Mac
