I've read that on the CHDK wiki that there has been no report of CHDK damaging your camera.
I just wanted to post that it may be because of CHDK that my camera now takes "Black Pictures"

After the installation of CHDK on my Cannon SD600, this problem now exist.
It could be either the end cannon hardware lifespan or CHDK, whichever the case, i thought i put it out there.

Camera Problem Explained:
The layout, menu, setting ISO, Macro and etc is still visible.
When put on Picture/Video "Shoot mode" the LCD screen is BLACK.
When picture is taken and i go back to Picture/video "Play Movie" . picture is still black.
When SD is inserted into Laptop to check data, jpeg is Still black.
So I believe the camera has lost the ability to capture image/video.

By the way, i never found the answer to this question on the site.
How do you remove CHDK?

How do you remove CHDK?
If you are using autoboot, just unlocking the card will stop CHDK from loading. If you used "firm update", chdk is only loaded until you turn the camera off, the next time you start it will not be loaded.

To remove the CHDK files from your card, you can just delete them using a card reader, or format it either with your pc or in camera.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
