sx110 - extra long exposure

Hello,

I have been doing a bunch of searching online and so far the sx110 looks awesome for what I want. However I would love to use the extra long shutter speed features; greater then 64 secs.

I have come across this page: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CameraFeatures which states that the sx110 does not support greater then 64secs. My question is... Does anyone know if this page is really old? Or is it up to date? Does anyone have any personal experience with this camera and chdk for long exposures?

Thank you so much!

Hello,
I'm searching for the same thing but for  the S90. CHDK is not really ready, but I search informations about extra long exposures. Which cameras can get that?
I find that:
 ( on: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Adding_support_for_a_new_camera )

Additional functionality
[edit] platform/<camera>/sub/<version>/capt_seq.c

In capt_seq.c we have two modified tasks: capt_seq_task() and exp_drv_task(). These are adapted to support saving RAW files, using a remote (USB) trigger and changing the exposure settings (including the addition of very long exposure times). exp_drv_task() is only required for the optional extra long exposure feature.

Is there something special to do to allow extra exposure shots? Is it only for developpers?  8)

thx for all, for time for everything!!

Fe50 keeps a list http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Fe50

If you want to be sure, you can check
http://tools.assembla.com/chdk/browser/trunk/include/camera.h
and see which cameras have
#define CAM_EXT_TV_RANGE
Of course, this doesn't help for unfinished ports that aren't checked into the trunk yet.

Yes.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

@reyalp, thanks for the help, but it looks like the sx110 is a no go for extra long exposure.

@shaltzman, looks like support the the s90 was added 14 hours ago ! lol http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/S90 however i am unsure if it will be able to support extra long exposures also.
