USB Audio - sx520hs

I have a sx520hs that has no audio input, only 'A/V out' (miniUSB->RCA) and 'miniHDMI out'. I've seen some cameras that have a USB port that accepts a adapter (USB->TRS) that turn that usb av out into a 'audio in'. Is that a way to make that usb av out an audio input? I know I can sync video to external audio, but it becomes to be very annoying when its about dozens of cuts.

Almost certainly not. Since the Canon firmware doesn't have that feature, there's no reason for Canon to have implemented support for it in hardware. If the hardware does support it, a lot of reverse engineering would be required to implement.
