I can't find the firmware on canon's site :\ If there is such a firmware I guess their ship their newer produced sx200is camera's with the new firmware. I get mine tomorrow. I can check and send you a pm. If the newer produces sx200s is shipped with the new firmware it should be possible to get it from canon support center.

Hi everybody

First, thanks to all developers around here, CHDK is really something.

Very interested in the port for the sx200.
I have a bit of knowledge in c although I doubt it can help (I'm too inexperienced I think).
Any other way I can help please tell me.

That article was from Febuary, before the camera was even released,  making it hopelessly out of date.

Got the internet back at last.
Before I lose it again here are the sources I have so far.
step1.7z - 0.03MB
As always, use at your own risk.
This set includes all files except Primary.bin, I have included the core.c and main.c as well as camera.h
Core.c has debug flashing in it.

I found that this slowed down the boot and then allowed the lens to fully extend and the screen to come up.

Buttons are all over the place, autoload not working yet, haven't set sd_protect value.

Next is to get the CHDK menus up and the buttons working correctly (I hope)

If someone could take a look and check waht I have so far I would be so gratefull, this has been driving me mad.

Hallo
I have Tested to Compile it with the CDK-Shell.
But i can't Insert it, so that i can Klick on a Check Button for the IS200IS. It was not Shown. :(

I wait for the Porting from a Spezalist.
Raw and Bracket whas the Futures what i wait for.

glad to know I am not alone here,
the sources I posted are NOT for general use, they are just the first attempts, they are for use by developers.
You need to wait until a beta is released for testing.

I have moved on from those sources, corrected a memory allocation error but still get garbage as a splash.
I will keep trying.

The Raw and bracket features as well as USB remote are what I want as well.

you are definitely not alone. i also loaded your dump into ida and tried my luck. but my c skills are kind of not available. so i guess i will not have that much of a chance. but i own the sx200is and would love to have chdk running on it. but thanx to oldgit for all your efforts so far. if i can help somehow just let me know....

Yes that are the features what i wait for, to make HDR Pictures.
