Thanks, I got it.  Firmware version 1.00d

As expected, the stubs_entry.S file is very similar to a810.  This is an easy port :)
Code: [Select]
chdk.a1300$ diff platform/a810/sub/100d/stubs_entry.S  platform/a1300/sub/100d/stubs_entry.S

Great I am looking forward to the Port I really like my A1300 my first but not my last Canon.    My A1300 replaces my old C-613 and Z-915 Kodaks. They still work but are really Mediocre cameras compared to that A1300.  I really love the Optical Viewfinder sadly missing on all other small Digital Cameras Canon Please keep the A1300 in production for a long time you have a little winner of a Camera!!

77 :  Welcome to CHDK Gerry.

This is the normal response we usually end up sending to people new to CHDK with a recently released camera :

link>CHDK FAQ : My camera isn't ported yet

Normally, it can take a long time before somebody with the right skills and time gets interested in one of the new cameras - usually because they purchase one.   You are really fortunate that nafraf seems to enjoy porting new cameras (that he does not even own) just for the fun of doing so !    Many CHDK users owe him a big "thank you".

Actually,  there are quite a few Canon P&S cameras with optical viewfinders.

55 : Just so you know,  CHDK is not affiliated with Canon in any way.  If you have feedback for Canon its probably best you email them directly.
Ported :   A1200    SD940   G10    Powershot N    G16

Hello Everyone
I have done some playing around with CHDK the very alpha version nafraf sent me and I have taken a few .raw pictures they do not seem any better then ordinary .jpg pictures. I have noticed that the shutter 1/2 press commands to turn on different features does not work. Those features were not working when I was trying the CHDK for A810 firmware 1.00d. I was able to use the bootable card method to the A810 CHDK work on my A1300. I think the A810 & A1300 are very much the same camera electronically the A1300 has 1 feature all other small & budget point & shoot cameras are missing an optical viewfinder. The carrying on A1200 from last year and the current A1300 have Optical Viewfinders and these are really great little affordable $100 or less on a good deal Cameras. Yes the way more costly G series Digital Rangefinder Cameras have an optical viewfinder, but their price approaches the price of the Digital Rebel T*i Series EOS DSLRs. The software osd menus work very well in the Playback mode I have used some of the features. I need to read & learn a lot more to try the motion sensor and time delay features. I hope these findings will give the Porters a better insight.

Thanks for testing and report.  Are you activating ALT mode to your tests?

Maybe this helps you: Motion detected was tested with a810, and reported here

Hello all following this Porting
I have noticed that 1 function does work on the 1/2 press of the shutter release. Up will turn the Manual Focus On & Off. On the A1300 the "DISP" Button and "Down" Button are the same position on the Control Joystick. I have not had too much of a chance to play with Motion Sense yet maybe in the next few days I will. I hope this will help those Porting this Camera. It took me a couple of months to get the Firmware Dump that is how I am at scripts.
