Hi all,

I have an A1300 but with the 1.0.0b firmware, can I safely upgrade to 1.0.0d? Or is there anyone interested in porting for this firmware?

Thanks,
aladar

Post the firmware dump. I'll help you with the port.

Hi people, I have a couple of questions.

Has anyone tested the range of shutter speed that can be set on A1300 using CHDK? Some people say not every CHDK-powered camera can go beyond 64 seconds (longest) and 1/10,000 seconds (shortest) of exposure.

One more thing, does A1300 support the Aperture Override control? I've read about it, and it's only available on cameras with a ''real'' aperture mechanism - and I don't know whether A1300 has it. Same goes for the ND Filter control.

Thanks in advance!

Normally,  if you don't get an answer it because nobody knows :

Posting the same question multiple times tends to annoy the "regulars" but in this case, moving it to the porting thread was probably a good idea.

But I'll answer your second question - the A1300 does not have a adjustable aperature so Aperature Override is not possible.  You can manually control the ND filter with CHDK though.

And FWIW,   the A1200 will definitely go beyond 64 seconds so I would expect that if the port was done correctly for the A1300 it will too.

Tested on a810 100b: Long Exp. Values = 00:00:03,  00:01:03, and 00:02:03
It works without problem.
A1300 port is practically a copy of A810, so it should work.

123 seconds? Excellent, thanks.
