Write RAWs to card after all shots are done

Slow write time of RAW files is the cause of lags between the shots which is bad for any bracketing of non-static scenes. I wonder if you guys could make the camera to write the RAWs to card AFTER all shots are done (not in between) in order to avoid lags between shots? Even if only 2 RAW files could be stored in camera's memory (?) till the shots are finished, that feature would still be worth to have.

I think there is really not enough memory. The Buffer is the only Place where enough memory is available.
On most cams the mem Canon left for CHDK( :haha) is not more that 0x40000 so 262,144 kB.

Ah great I have the idea now, we could resize the raws to let's say 250x9 px (cool format, but I like 4:3 much more)
and then afterwards scale and crop it to the full size again, that's how the cheap 10MP(2MP sensor)-P&S do,
so why not the great canon you can?

Too much off-topic today

How about taking another shot during writing of previous RAW to reduce lags?

RAW is written directly from buffer, so there is no empty space for the new RAW.

I wonder how the Canon's NR is done then? It takes 2 RAWs to process, so the first shot (actual photo) needs to be stored somewhere until the second (dark frame) is ready ???

Of course, no 2 RAW buffers needed. Because dark frame is subtracted "on the fly", directly after ADC reading (without storage for dark frame).
