i think in alot of the zips the case (small case, upper case mixed) of the foldernames is incorrect.This is only relevant for case sensitive file systems, with Linux you can uses fudgey's script from here (http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,288.msg25628.html#msg25628)...new uploads are in correct case, maybe i'll exchange the old ones in the course of day...
one thing i also noticed: in the first drop, one can only see/download all dumps when you enter the "system view".Normally you can always download the whole drop, the link is on the right side...but it seems like drop.io sometimes has problems with the different view modes (you can also 'create' the zip file by your self on the 'SHARE' Tab with 'ZIP Archive', but normally i do this always when there are adds or changes...).

i just added an archive that contains the following for EACH firmware that is supported in current trunk (as of writing this, rev 688):
names.txt - everything IDA can put a name to (+adress), here you can find for example the adresses for the temperature stuff and so on (beginners asm stuff :D)
strings.txt - all strings contained in a dump (interesting things to see there sometimes :D)
functions.txt - functions (and names, if IDA script could "decipher" them) of functions within the dump
these files can be used to a) find out what is "hidden" in these firmwares and b) for ASM beginners to try out some functions and adresses (you dont need IDA for this). these are NO disassemblies! For "real" disassembly, use IDA or the gpl tools (btw these strings and functions might help you with the GPL tools, ask Fudgey :D)

Yes, I've been working on getting a firmware dump for the past week. I used the firmware update (PS.FI2) method and a few adjustments to get the program running - started out with the udumper source code:pegahic has just found the a480 firmware
a. added "MOV R11, #0" to entry.S before the branch to main
b. pre-padded the unencrypted diskboot.bin with 1636 NOP instructions - the code didn't seem to execute otherwise, either part of the file is stripped or the executable has to have a certain size.
I found the AF_LED at 0xC02380C3 by the usual method, strangely 0x00 must be used to turn it off (instead of 0x44). Originally I scanned 0xC0200000 - 0xC0200100, where I found the flash (that's how I knew the program was working) and proceeded to build an IR receiver (simple enough) and transmit/receive data from the device. I have just made a dump of A800 using Cbasic script.I've added this A800 1.00B dump to the box.net/chdk (http://www.box.net/chdk) repository.
The ver.req (vers.req) does not work, so I retieved the FW version from the dump strings.
The version is 100B

I have a SX20is that works fine.There are three released versions of CHDK for the sx20is, each one for a different firmware version. You need to use the one that matches the firmware version of your camera.
We just ordered 2 refurbished SX20is. They will not start with a locked disk.
I took the disk out of my camera and put it in the other one. You have to open the battery compartment to reset the camera to use it again. Even in just playback mode, it will not start.
Anyone else run into this?
I can not get the version number to work on them either.
Canon's rep said that her's works the same as my older SX20is. She did not think they did anything different.
I just got a black A800 that ACID shows as having 100c firmware. I made a dump with the Universal Dumper (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper) script (extend.m and script.req style) and I've uploaded it over here at box.com (http://www.box.com/s/svfdubdljh3jdlcunx3i). Any chance of getting a view on the new repository that shows uploads in chronological order (most recent first)?Unfortunately there's nothing to adjust for anonymous drive users.

If you already have a google (drive / docs) account, you can use the "Open in drive" button in the upper left corner to view the content in your google drive, with adjustable view order, an activity log etc.

In IXUS ELPH Series/ixus500_elph520_100e.7z, PRIMARY.BIN is actually a zip file. Found out while running an automated analysis over all the CHDK dumps.
Also, in S Series/s120_100e.7z, the main file is not called PRIMARY.BIN.
