I m going to stop using the CHDK unless someone say it's normal for the current version of CHDK for SX200 IS or give a link to a more stable version.

It seems as if the "Edge Overlay" feaure is enabled; delete the CHDK config file \CHDK\cchdk.cfg & try again...

I would like to write a LUA script to set the brigtness and contrast in sx200. Can anybody help me ?

I got a question... Could it be possible to take remote pictures with the pc from the SX200 IS and have a reali time live view in the pc monitor???

If your question is about doing this with CHDK, we've already answered it several times. Since it is not possible in general, you don't need to ask for each camera! Asking again will not change the facts.

If you mean using canons own software, you should check canons documentation. The canon SDK page http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/sdk_homepage has a convenient table showing which cameras support which Canon SDK features.

Hello,

I am looking for a way to fit a polarising filter to the sx200 and came across the following item on Amazon.com

it is for a SX210 and SX210IS, but does anyone know if it will fit the SX200IS

I presume it works by slipping round the lens mount which sticks out from the camera body

it says it is 58mm, but I dont know if the lens mount on an sx210 is slightly bigger than an sx200,

as on my SX200 I measure the lens mount to be about 54.5mm, but I dont know the dimensions of the SX210

anybody got access to one they could measure

That's a damn good adapter! Maybe you might measure an SX 210 with a caliper in a big market. ;)

Hi, I'm considering buying an SX200. I notice that it says the CHDK is available for SX200s with certain firmware versions but not others. If I'm buying a camera, e.g. from Amazon or even from a physical store, is there a way to tell the firmware version before I buy it? I would hate to buy one and find out the CHDK doesn't work because of bad luck with getting firmware version a instead of d. (I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I did search for it in the forums and didn't find anything.)

That adapter thing looks awesome, btw. If you figure out if it works for this camera, let us know.

I was actually considering getting the SX230 because it has a better zoom, but it doesn't seem to have the chdk (yet?) and that is more important to me.

I use the chdk on my SX230 and SD1100 cameras, and I installed them using a Macbook, currently running 10.6.8.
