Tested the 100f Firmware and it worked, thank you very much. Now, after repairing a battery-bug, the canon service upgraded to 100h.

Is there any possibility to downgrade the firmware back to 100f without the risk of damaging the device?
Or is there a release of chdk for 100h in sight?

As noted previously, CHDK for 100f should work on 100h firmware cameras:

That was fast porting.  I assume this won't work on the h version of the firmware?
There are no address differences in stubs_entry.S; so 100h and 100f probably are CHDK compatible.
stick worked wonderfully!  Thanks!  Confirmed that chdk loads with 100h.

Tested the raw functions with the latest build.  Still no luck, scrambled pink stuff.  I'm not sure the raw was part of the fix?  I'm guessing not?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any differences in firmware version 100h that would explain why the DNG functionality isn't working properly. It works perfectly for me on version 100f.

It might depend on canon firmware settings too. Many recent cameras will not correctly capture raw in Auto mode. High ISO, Low light or high speed modes may also have problems.

@mpetroff
Code: [Select]
KNOWN BUGS
**********
Zoom lever doesn't work when zoom has been set to something other than 0 with
set_zoom. Use set_zoom(0) to allow it to work again.
To solve zoom lever bug, maybe this helps: Can't adjust zoom after set_zoom()

Here's a test build with CAM_USE_ALT_SET_ZOOM_POINT and CAM_USE_ALT_PT_MoveOpticalZoomAt

This may address the distorted zoom, as well as the set_zoom vs zoom lever issue mentioned above.

Do you mean these crashes do not happen with the previous IXUS 255 builds?

Edit:
Romlogs seem similar to ones you posted in https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=13875.msg141314#msg141314

I checked the zoom changes in, trunk 5273. I would still like to know if the crashes reported are only present in the new version, or were also present in the old one.
